Your data
What you write in Etudebook is kept in the EU. The teacher's notes, the task notes and the practice notes are stored encrypted. There are no ads and no tracking.
Everything below is in Settings and needs a connection.
Download a copy
Under Your data:
- Download as JSON: the complete copy, with every profile, page, task and practice session. Keep it as a backup, or take your data elsewhere.
- Download as CSV (spreadsheet): a practice log, one row for each task practised, to open in a spreadsheet.
Change your email address
- Under Email address, tap Change email address.
- Write your Current address and the New address, and tap Send confirmation link.
- Open the email at the new address and tap Confirm new address within 15 minutes.
The change happens 24 hours after you asked. Until then, sign in with your current address.
Your current address gets an email too. If the change wasn't yours, tap Cancel the change in that email, or in Settings, where the waiting change shows. If the new address already has an account, nothing changes.
Sign out
Sign out signs you out on this device and removes the notebooks from it. They stay in your account and come back when you sign in again. If some changes haven't been saved yet, for example after practice offline, the app tells you first: Save now saves them, and Sign out anyway throws them away.
Sign out on all devices signs you out on every phone, tablet and computer, for example when a phone is lost.
Delete your account
- Under Delete my account, tap Delete my account and all its data.
- Type DELETE and tap Delete my account.
This deletes your account and everything in it: every profile, notebook and practice history, on every phone, tablet and computer. It can't be undone, so download a copy first if you want to keep anything. The data disappears from every device at once and is erased from our servers 30 days later. If you sign up again with the same address, you start with an empty account.
If something is wrong
If someone else is using your account, or your child's data is somewhere it shouldn't be, tap Report a problem in Settings.
